Arthritis-type pain is often caused by inflammation in the joints, which can be relieved with healing foods! Cherries, parsley, and turmeric are just a few of the foods known for their inflammation-fighting powers. So, if you suffer from the pains of Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, try these recipes and fight the inflammation!

Try to aim for one smoothie every day. You can make up many variations so that you do not get bored with them. The key is knowing the ingredients that are going to alleviate your individual symptoms. Fresh, raw produce is best. Why not go and support your local greengrocer? The fruits and vegetables are fresh, cheap and delicious!


1) Recipe 1




Add all ingredients to your Tall Cup and extract for 30 seconds, or until smooth.



2) Recipe 2


  • 1 banana OR 1/2 avocado, pitted and sliced

  • 1/2 C kale, torn into bite-sized pieces

  • 1/4 C frozen blueberries

  • 1 C tart cherry juice

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric


  • Combine all ingredients in a single-serve blender cup. Pulse until well blended. Sip and enjoy!


3) Recipe 3


  • 1/2 cup coconut milk

  • 1/2 cup coconut water

  • 1 romaine heart, de-stemmed

  • 1/2 cucumber

  • 1/2 fresh jalapeno, de-seeded

  • 1 cup watermelon

  • 3-4 fresh mint leaves

  • 1 lime, freshly squeezed

  • pinch of sea salt

  • raw honey (optional)

  • watermelon balls for garnish

In a blender, combine coconut milk, coconut water, romaine, cucumber, jalapeno, watermelon, mint, lime juice, and sea salt. Puree. Add honey and sweeten to taste, if desired. Serve with watermelon balls for garnish, if desired.


4) Recipe 4


  • 1 cup organic cherries

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 1 cup greens of your choice

  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder

  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger

  • 1 tbsp. pre-soaked chia seeds

  • 1 cup young thai coconut water


Blend & Enjoy!


5) Recipe 5


  • 3-4 rings of fresh pineapple

  • A handful of chopped mango

  •  A medium piece of ginger, about 2 inches long

  • A few blueberries (because they are just generally SO good for you)

  • 1/4 pint of coconut water (or more or less depending on your stance on coconut)

  •  About a tsp. of fresh vanilla
